Article Reflection Multi-Media Entry 2: Safe Web Surfing


First of all, I want to specify that the subject of the internet surfing makes me very interested because I like talking about media, technology,  globalization, ideologies and movement of thought since these concepts have been determining the order and balance in our world for many years. The subjects of internet using and technology are the ones that I would like to study and search in my future career, because education also has been affected  seriously from them and it has been experiencing changes in its main frame, I think. The Internet can be a confusing and dangerous place. Without a safety net, many people can fall into the danger zones of pornography, predators, online scams, Internet viruses, and spyware. With such free access to the Internet around the world, many have abused it as an opportunity to take advantage of others but there's no reason to fear the Internet. When used properly, with the right precautions and the right information; the Internet educates, positively influences, and provides a creative outlet for today's kids. We, as the teachers of the future, must be concious about the advantages and disadvantages of the internet and should teach about the facts to not only our students but also their parents in terms of education. In my opinion, education has been coming into prominence about commercial issues in many countries. My expectation from the future is that I want to have much more information about the subject and its relationship with education and technology. The changes in the technologies  became the most appropriate for everyone, I think. The new advancements in the technology, especially in the world of internet are interesting for me because you have comprehensive knowledge of the subject. All I want to mention about internet, its subjects, demands and purposes are these for now in general.
